SIMWORKS Stainless Outer Cable for Shift

Nissen Cable uses stainless steel coil wire for the outer cable, which is generally made of steel, making it rust-resistant and finished with a transparent coating. A polyethylene inner liner is placed inside the coil, making the lever pull lighter. The outer diameter of the shift cable is 4 mm, and the inner wire is compatible with 1.2 mm.

[Recommended Installation method to maximize the performance of the outer cable]

• Before installation, leave the outer cable in a straight state for half a day to a day to remove any initial shrinkage before use.
  
• Use an outer cut guide or high-precision wire cutters to cut it.
  
• After cutting, deburr the coating and coil and gauge clearance in the liner tube.
  
• Apply fluorine-based oil or silicone-based oil to the inner cable.

*This outer cable for shifting is a coiled structure, unlike the usual conduit type (a type with straight vertical wires). The coil type has the advantage of flexibility, but the conduit type is superior in terms of stroke loss due to its structure. It is not recommended for those looking for strict racing specifications with 10-11 speeds.
