The Wayuu from the La Guajira Peninsula of Colombia and Venezuela also use the inner cane-like wood of the plant in wattle and daub construction.

With an often tree-like appearance, its cylindrical gray-green to blue stems can reach 10 meters (33 feet) in height and 10–20 cm in diameter as a self-supporting plant. However, if supported by a scaffold, C. repandus has grown to a height of 110 feet (34 meters) at the SDM College of Dental Sciences at Dharwad, Karnataka, India, technically making this the tallest cactus plant in the world, although no cactus under natural conditions exceeds eighty-two feet (25 meters) in height in the case of Cereus stenogonus. There are nine to ten rounded ribs that are up to 1 centimeter high. The small areoles on it are far apart. The gray, needle-like thorns are very variable. They are often numerous, but can also be missing entirely. The longest thorns are up to 5 centimeters long.

The large, cream-colored, nocturnal flowers remain open for only one night and are of vital importance to pollinating bats. The fruits, known locally as pitaya, olala (only in some parts of Bolivia) or Peruvian apple, are thornless and vary in skin color from violet-red to yellow. The edible flesh is white and contains small, edible, crunchy seeds. The flesh sweetens as the fruit opens out fully. As the cactus grows in arid regions and fruits in the dry seasons, the fruit is an essential source of food for birds in its native range.

~ Cactus Cutting
OR
~ Rooted Plant

ADD ROOT POWDER or SUPER ROOT SAUCE! It’s drought-resistant and doesn’t need much water, so you should only water it when its soil is dry to the touch. Too frequent watering can lead to waterlogging and root loss.

The Crazy Bunny Ears cactus is dormant in winter and should thus be kept dry. You can do this because this cactus’ water needs in winter are very low.

Also, keep in mind that cacti are much more sensitive to overwatering in winter than in summer.

Where to plant
To prevent water from accumulating around the roots of this cactus, plant it in a fast-draining cactus potting mix. For extra drainage, you may add mineral grit like perlite or coarse sand. There aren’t strict guidelines on how much mineral grit to add, but a 1:1 ratio between the grit and potting mix should be adequate.

Opuntia Microdasys Monstrose “Crazy Bunny Ears” isn’t a big cactus and can be easily kept in a pot. When choosing a pot, get one with large drainage holes at the bottom.

If you want to see the Crazy Bunny Ears cactus thrive and want it to obtain its distinctive structure, then you should keep the cactus outdoors. Roughly 6 hours of full sunlight are a must for this cactus.

Indoor growing is also possible, but only if you can provide the Crazy Bunny Ears cactus with adequate sunlight. If sunlight is lacking, then you may compensate for it with grow lights, but keep in mind that natural light is preferable.

In winter, be sure to move this cactus indoors – it’s not frost-hardy and will not survive long-term exposure to low temperatures. But you won’t need to do this if winters are warm in your area.

General care information
Occasionally fertilize your Opuntia Microdasys Monstrose “Crazy Bunny Ears” cactus to ensure consistent growth. Opuntia Microdasys cacti tend to be slow growers, so every bit of growing boost you can get is beneficial.

Fertilization should be done throughout spring and summer. Typically, cacti fertilizers diluted to half strength are given to the cactus once every 4-8 weeks, though this may depend on your fertilizer.

Repotting should also be done sometimes. A small pot will restrict your Crazy Bunny Ears cactus and prevent it from growing further. Ideally, repot your cactus every spring so that you can inspect its roots and treat them if necessary. Members of the genus are native to southern Africa. The name is derived from the Ancient Greek words λίθος (lithos), meaning "stone," and ὄψ (ops), meaning "face," referring to the stone-like appearance of the plants. They avoid being eaten by blending in with surrounding rocks and are often known as pebble plants or living stones. The formation of the name from the Greek "-ops" means that even a single plant is called a Lithops.

Individual Lithops plants consist of one or more pairs of bulbous, almost fused leaves opposite to each other and hardly any stem. The slit between the leaves contains the meristem and produces flowers and new leaves. The leaves of Lithops are mostly buried below the surface of the soil, with a partially or completely translucent top surface known as a leaf window which allows light to enter the interior of the leaves for photosynthesis.

During winter a new leaf pair, or occasionally more than one, grows inside the existing fused leaf pair. In spring the old leaf pair parts to reveal the new leaves and the old leaves will then dry up. Lithops leaves may shrink and disappear below ground level during drought. Lithops in habitat almost never have more than one leaf pair per head, presumably as an adaptation to the arid environment. Yellow or white flowers emerge from the fissure between the leaves after the new leaf pair has fully matured, one per leaf pair. This is usually in autumn but can be before the summer solstice in L. pseudotruncatella and after the winter solstice in L. optica. The flowers are often sweetly scented

The most startling adaptation of Lithops is the coloring of the leaves. The leaves are fenestrated, and the epidermal windows are patterned in various shades of cream, grey, and brown, with darker windowed areas, dots, and red lines, according to species and local conditions. The markings function as remarkable camouflage for the plant in its typical stone-like environment. As is typical of a window plant, the green tissue lines the inside of the leaves and is covered with translucent tissue beneath the epidermal windows.

Lithops are obligate outcrosses and require pollination from a separate plant. Like most resembles, Lithops fruit is a dry capsule that opens when it becomes wet; some seeds may be ejected by falling raindrops, and the capsule re-closes when it dries out. Capsules may also sometimes detach and be distributed intact or may disintegrate after several years.

~potted live plant

______PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR WEATHER BEFORE ORDERING___

*Not responsible for lost or damaged packages due to shipping companies handling.
We will send you info to file a claim.

Bloom Period: Mid Spring-Early Fall - Bloom Color: White, Fragrant

~ Cactus Cutting

______PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR WEATHER BEFORE ORDERING___

*Not responsible for lost or damaged packages due to shipping companies handling.
We will send you info to file a claim.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0753/3858/0140/files/epiphyllum-orchid-cactus-rare-moon-bloom-cactus-flower-cactus-succulent_1.jpg?v=1787248362
desert-rose-adenium-obesum
Desert Rose, Adenium obesum

Adenium obesum is a species of flowering plant in the dogbane family, Apocynaceae, that is native to the Sahel regions, south of the Sahara (from Mauritania and Senegal to Sudan), and tropical and subtropical eastern and southern Africa and Arabia. Every succulent owner knows well to add topsoil to every potted plant.

*Not responsible for lost or damaged packages due to shipping companies handling.
We will send you info to file a claim.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0753/3858/0140/files/larger-top-dressing-rock-black-white-natural-cactus-succulent-garden_1.jpg?v=1787248366
golden-barrel-cactus-echinocactus-grusonii-live-succulent-round-desert-cactus-drought-tolerant-rare
Golden Barrel Cactus – Echinocactus grusonii Live Succulent, Round Desert Cactus, Drought-Tolerant, Rare Landscape Plant

🌱 Product Overview

The Golden Barrel Cactus (Echinocactus grusonii) is a true desert icon—rounded, ribbed, and crowned with golden spines that glow in the sun.
